According to the dailymail “Just 1,800 out of 110,000 occupied beds are taken up by Covid-19 patients as thousands more than normal die at home of other causes”. I saw more deaths from the flu when I started my job at the hospital three years ago than I did this year when my ward was made the Covid ward. So I wish he’d explain when exactly the hospitals were overwhelmed.
