
A record 482 migrants crossed the English Channel on Wednesday – another 246 people were stopped by French authorities getting to the UK.
The Home Office said 21 boats made the dangerous crossing from France to Britain.
More than 10,000 people have now crossed the Channel on small boats this year, according to data compiled by the PA news agency.

This never used to happen before the Iraq war. It started with the Syrian refugees. Now it’s everywhere since people know they can make money. If they are truly asylum seekers, Priti Patel or the Government should instead of spending 250 million on a yacht to show off on should create a floating centre – they just live on a ship until they are processed or sent back.
