People need to clamp down hard on people who threaten or accost politicians for policy positions like teaching kids about LGBT people. I’m gay. It would’ve made a world of difference to know I wasn’t alone in the world.
The Tories put in almost zero campaigning / canvassing effort on the ground. Their strategy was basically to hide while Labour and Galloway battled each other, and slip through the middle. Many eligible voters in the constituency probably didn’t even know the name of the Tory candidate.
It’s scary to think that despite all of that they still very nearly won.
Kier Starmer celebrated like it’s his dad’s wedding
It’s possible the Tories deliberately lost in order to keep Starmer in, I guess. One is never sure how much strategy political parties are capable of.
