tbh the Modi comments by Labour do have a degree of grounding, given that Modi in the recent past (I have not kept up to date with him so he may have not gone through with it) has stoked ideas that India is a necessarily Hindu nation and started to propose legislation that would tie citizenship of India with being Hindu, a move with impacts Muslims by in large given they are the largest non Hindu religious group in India.
I was flabbergasted as we’d heard Labour had a 5% chance of winning. I’m very glad Kim Leadbeater won her sister’s old seat , and had a curry to celebrate.
