The death toll from yesterday’s suicide bombing in Kabul has reached 170.
For many that brutal assault and the sealing of airport gates that followed it, finished off their hopes of escape.
Newsnight’s Emir Nader has been talking to people now in hiding, living in fear of violence from the Taliban.
The Foreign Office told Newsnight they have evacuated more than 13,700 people from Afghanistan in the past fortnight and that some of those arriving in the UK include this year’s Afghan Chevening scholars.

…when I started reading the Holy Qur’an twenty five years ago…
..and when I reed it for the first time I find it hard I couldn’t carrion and I was about to give up.. specially if being single and full of pressure and problems…
..Then I started working as mini cab ( Taxi driver ) without map knowledge of London…really I just pushed myself in to the roads Among the professionals driver’s…
.. example,..
For the first time when I picked up the first passenger I got lost before I had arrived to his destination..
…then After one week EXACTLY I find myself on the truck with a good skill of driving and customers dealing..
Then since that time I put a Holy Qur’an on my car and every time I was waiting for my turn to be given a job…all that time a spend it in reading a Holy book…soo it was a very good job for me so I can study Religious Knowledge as I loved it the same time making.
I was not declared to the jobcentre so I was cheating the Government…but my cheating to them was not harmful to the public and to the country…so I didn’t feel guilty at all specially I thought they had enough money so I was not worried.

..One day I said to my self while I was reading the Quran …that I have told ignore all the bad news in that book and I have to concentrate only about the creation and especially….Ho is God…Ho..I am…from where I came from.. And what I’m doing here…and where…where I am going later????…
All these questions give me a clue and a very good idea…on how to read the Holy Qur’an…
…I swear Ladies and Gentlemen that since that time I become addict to it…and the more I reed it…the more I felt In love with the Author.
….this was a bit of my adventure here in Great Britain.
