The problem with UK is that they always want to be number 1 and see themselves as superior to other nations so they don’t want to follow any rules. The UK is the worlds 5th biggest economy which is pretty good and has a military ranking of 8th place which is also good but these rankings are close to Germany, France and Italy so the UK is closer to these nations in scale which are all in the EU and these three and more nations togeher makes up the 2nd biggest economy and millitary in the world after the USA and is much more powerful and influential than the UK so I think UK should follow the laws of the Brexit deal and respect its EU neighbours because they are not the old British Empire and they’re just another high tier European nation and not a super power like the USA or merging super power like China.
