Since the Afgan military obviously did no longer want to fight this war, if we had not withdrawn immeditely , it would have meant that the US military would largely have been the ONLY soldiers fighting, and the death toll would have skyrocketed – I agree this needed to be avoided at all costs. 20 YEARS WAS LONG ENOUGH TO SEE THIS NEEDED TO END.
I remember numereous Trump rallies BEFORE VACCINATIONS in 2020, huge crowds, no social distancing, masks were OPENLY mocked, few wore the masks, this stange partisan view on masks is very obvious in Texas and Florida – the two states with the highest Covid rates in the nation – both with Repubican Govenors – this is not a co-incidence. This attitude about masks dates back to 2020, and its very partisan – when our health should never be partisan.
