I have an idea everyone over 50 (myself included) goes into full lockdown and all under 50 go to work. Uni, school and socialize as much as they like as they are least likely to die from Covid-19 so the most likely to create a herd immunity killing the virus. Nobody over 50 can mix with anyone under 50 except by marriage were the young will be treated as over 50. This could cost less than the furlough scheme given that many over 50 will be OAP’s and many 55+ can take early retirement via their work/private pensions. This could even be sustainable for a much longer period without excessive damage to the economy
Well you did open up when we were going through our peak . And allowing a football match to go ahead in Liverpool with travelling fans from hotspot Madrid which didn’t help. What did you expect ?
Councils up here wanted to follow Scotland’s advice .
The London centric (nothing against London or Londoners ) and a centralised approach lead to a disaster .
And don’t get me started on the conflicting advice . And you aren’t supporting those sectors ,you say go and retrain . Into what ?! And where will they get the money from ?you aren’t giving them training grants !.
